We were visiting from out of town and wanted to swim so we gave this a try. I’m sooo glad we did! The front desk lady was so nice and friendly!! The pool was bath water warm, which was perfect for our little kids! Our older kids had so much fun on the slides and lazy river. Everything was really clean.

We enjoyed a day of water during spring break. We had our grand daughters 3 and 5 years old. We enjoyed the lazy river, the kiddie pool and the hot tub. The kids were too short for the big slide but loved the kiddie slide! The water was warm and the life guards were great! They kept the rambunctious boys in line and I never worried about my girls. The locker rooms were sufficient and I love the bathing suit dryer and the hand driers. It was affordable because we were staying in Avon (discount). There were vending machines but no place to eat a lunch. Plenty of parking. We stayed about 3 hours. Plenty of time. Definitely would go back. The young man that checked us in was very informative and kind! He deserves a promotion! 😊

The Avon Recreation Center is a great option if you’re staying in an Airbnb without a hot tub or sauna — especially after long ski days. The sauna is a fantastic way to warm up and reset, and the hot tub is deep with water temperatures typically around 101–102 degrees, which feels perfect after time on the mountain. The jets were not operating during our visit (and we were told they haven’t been for some time), though improvements are reportedly planned — it’s worth calling ahead if that’s important to you. The steam room could be a little steamier, but overall the recovery amenities are solid and easy to access. Please respect sauna etiquette — pouring water directly onto the heating element can shut it down for everyone (we saw this happen during our visit). We didn’t use all of the fitness facilities, but there are plenty of options, including a large pool with a kids’ play area and a lazy river, making it a good family-friendly stop as well. Lockers are free with an ID. Towels are available for $2 each, so bringing your own can save a few dollars. Parking is free, but you do need to register your vehicle each time. Traveler Tip: Don’t pay the daily drop-in rate if you’re going more than once. The punch card option saves a noticeable amount and makes it easy to return throughout your stay. If you’re planning a Beaver Creek or Avon trip and have questions, feel free to ask — always happy to help out a fellow traveler.

I grew up in this area.... I have to say that the pool was so much more fun in the 90s. More options of slides and such. I wish my kids could have experienced it in those times.
