I’ve been taking adult French classes at French Language Institute of Boulder for the past year, and it has truly become the highlight of my week. Velina creates an engaging and welcoming learning environment where every student—regardless of level—feels supported and challenged in the best way. She has an incredible ability to tailor instruction so everyone stays involved and learning. What I appreciate most is how supportive and encouraging the class environment is. The students genuinely cheer each other on, and I’ve never once felt judged or intimidated. The humor woven throughout each class makes learning even more enjoyable. I always leave feeling energized—and already looking forward to the next class. Highly recommend!
View on Google ↗A great start for anyone learning French! Velina is an excellent instructor, and the small classroom setting creates a comfortable environment to learn and practice. My wife and I loved the 101 class and by the end, our group felt like family. We highly recommend this course and can’t wait for 102 in the fall.
View on Google ↗I had a wonderful experience. I took two classes at the French Language Institue of Boulder -- the fall and spring courses for intermediate conversation -- and both were very valuable: it's a laid-back environment, the classes were small, both times I felt like the group became close-knit, and Velina is a kind and passionate teacher. There was a lot of variety too in how we learned (music, movies, personal projects, etc.) and the focus was always on learning in an enjoyable way. I know I owe a lot of the progress I've made in French, especially in listening comprehension and speaking, to my time at FLIB. I highly recommend.
View on Google ↗My child just finished a semester of French 101 with Velina. We had such a positive experience. Velina is a fantastic teacher and she did such a great job engaging the students. My son learned an incredible amount in such a short time. I have zero critiques! Do not hesitate to take a class here!
View on Google ↗Velina is such a wonderful teacher. She is so smart and patient and has really helped me progress in learning French. Her lessons plans are fantastic. There is plenty to practice in class as well as take home to study. I will continue with her for years to come. I recommend her to anyone interested in studying French.
