We stopped in for the senior lunch. It appears to be well received by the community as there were over a hundred people there. The staff, mostly volunteer, we're very helpful and the meal was delicious. The dining room is light and airy, and is relatively new. The kitchen appeared to be " state of the art" and very efficient. The community center has numerous rooms for classes and activities. A beautiful facility for the city of Broomfield!

It’s ok. Sorta smells like mold in the locker room. Since we are on the locker room let me say they have the absolute worst locker design of any place I’ve been. They have you packed like sardines. All the lockers are mated in to each other stylishly. This means about 4 locker residents have the same 24 inches of bench. So you sit there and wait in line to change or dress while just elbow to elbow w dudes all changing clothes. Also the slats on the bench are far apart so everything you don’t catch falling slips through and lands on the mostly nasty floor. If it’s not busy it’s all right. If it’s busy, don’t bother. Kind of used to be A better deal but it costs more than some other gyms now. I’m not trying to be negative. As I said It’s alright. 3 stars is fair. They have nice people.

TLDR: This rec center is a clean, modern facility that offers a perfectly serviceable gym with a few limitations. There is a standard selection of machines, great selection of dumbbells, but lacks squat racks and barbells. The outdoor functional fitness area on the patio is a great bonus. I came to this facility to use their gym while my main one was temporarily closed. The gym is split between two floors, with free weights and cables on the first floor, while the cardio machines, strength machines, and a functional fitness area are on the second floor. I noticed immediately that there is only one squat rack, with two standard 45 lb barbells. I imagine the rack would be continuously occupied during peak hours and there's not a lot space to deadlift. If you can claim the rack, then you can bench and squat to your heart's content. Otherwise, be prepared to ask to work in. There is a great selection of dumbbells on the first floor, going up to 100 lbs, as well as a standard selection of strength and cable machines. No complaints there! The functional fitness area has a smaller selection of dumbbells and kettlebells, going up to 25 lbs. This area is on an outdoor patio, which was a wonderful surprise! The fresh air felt amazing while working up a sweat, and the pleasant views of the surrounding area were a welcome distraction while resting between sets. However, the floor is a little uneven and the texture is painful to walk on without shoes. There are plenty of lockers available in the locker rooms, as well as smaller lockers on both floors of the main gym. There are water bottle filling stations, and rags with disinfectant to clean the machines and benches. This gym is clearly designed to appeal to a broad range of fitness levels, and the clientele reflect that. The staff is super nice and welcoming too. Overall, I was satisfied with this gym! If weights aren't your thing, the rec center offers so many other fitness activities. There are pools, classes, an indoor running track, courts, and so much more.

It is impossible to call any Broomfield facility and talk to a human. You will be sent through endless AI robots who cannot help you and refuse to let you speak to a human. If you make it through the 8 layers of AI you get to leave a voicemail. Pathetic service for a supposed community service. This is consistent with any Broomfield facility as I called the rec center, the community center, the Bay and the numbers those robots provided all with the same result. DO BETTER!
