Gilpin County Parks & Recreation operates out of the Gilpin County Community Center and offers recreation programs, facilities, and activities for residents of the mountain community.
Free out-of-school drop-in space for youth 12 through high school grad. Use the gym, pool, kitchen, and game consoles; activities and field trips are planned by the youth leadership team. Van rides from Gilpin Secondary.

I can't say enough good things about this place. This was my 2nd year attending their annual fair/rodeo. Very well organized, safe, and fun. The facility is just gorgeous! I'm from out of state, and I've never seen a community center like this one before. The community centers in the south are small, usually one large room, 2 restrooms, and lots of fold out tables. They're not open daily, and provide not much of anything. I was very impressed with y'all's community center. If there were something like that in the south, for $20 a month....it would be standing room only lol
View on Google ↗I love the community center, they have almost everything (aside from hot tub, sana or steam room). The staff are so kind and helpful, and pricing is very reasonable.
View on Google ↗The staff is friendly, the pool is great, and the track is well maintained. I see people on the gym equipment and free weights room, but I don't partake.
