Fossil Trace Golf Academy

I came to Denver without the expectations of playing and managed to sneak in a round here at Fossil Trace. I had to rent clubs which I was skeptical of but they were a newer set of Taylormade irons, QI4D driver, woods and hybrid…tees and a sleeve of balls included. Greens fees included cart with GPS and range usage with unlimited balls: Course was in mint shape with amazing scenery of the mountains as your background..hole 12 is ridiculous with 3 giant sandstone rocks in the middle of the fairway(see pics). Absolutely outstanding course with professional staff throughout, pro shop has great must have merch.

This was such a beautiful place to play and each hole was unique. The driving range had a few spots reserved for those with tee times that were already set up with balls. The golf carts had a club and ball scrub attached. The layout was easy to navigate and the course was in great shape when we visited in mid May. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Had a great time on Sunday while in Denver for work. I was paired up with three guys we had a great time the golf course was in great shape. Pace of play was solid & the food at the restaurant was delicious after. Steve the bartender took great care of us while visiting. I couldn’t ask for a better way to end the week highly recommend.

As someone who plays in a women's league here, I can honestly say Fossil Trace is one of my favorite courses. The course is absolutely beautiful, the mountain views are incredible, and every round feels like a special experience. The greens are always in fantastic shape and it's obvious the staff takes a lot of pride in keeping the course so well maintained. The iconic par 3 with the old mining equipment built into the rocks is such a fun and memorable hole. It never gets old and it's one of those holes everyone talks about after the round. I also have to give a huge shout out to Matt, who runs the women's league. He does an amazing job keeping everything organized, welcoming, and fun. Whether you're a newer golfer or have been playing for years, he creates an environment where everyone feels included and enjoys coming back each week. If you're looking for a course that's both challenging and incredibly scenic with a great community of golfers, Fossil Trace is hard to beat. I always look forward to league nights and can't recommend this course enough.

We played Fossil Trace just a couple of days ago. Let me start by saying that the course is beautiful with great scenery, excellently maintained, and challenging (although the variety of tees helps in that regard). The ability to see fossils during your round and the need to navigate interesting obstructions in the fairways are both cool as well. But what really sets Fossil Trace apart is their personnel. Everyone we came across, from the pro shop staff, the starter, the rangers, the servers in the restaurant and the on-course beverage/food cart were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. In addition, we had a physical issue with a member of our group that had occurred the day prior, and the staff at Fossil Trace was understanding and frankly more accommodating than we expected. We recommend Fossil Trace without any reservation whatsoever.
