City of Loveland Parks & Recreation

We have been involved with elementary school soccer, kid swimming, little kid baseball, little kid tennis, visit all the playgrounds, the fishing day. We are so grateful for the facilities. Loveland parks have bathrooms, whereas some of the other cities parks did not. Soccer has its bumps but the program is very affordable, has refs and has some training for the coaches. Baseball did not have umps and was left to coach negotiations. Swim lessons were helpful. Winona worked better for our kids because they are on the shorter side. They had a harder time learning at the Chilson after the preschool age because of the water depth. The teachers were very kind and organized for all the lessons (we have gone through four different kinds from baby to preschool to elementary). The recreation center is a great value and all the parks and rec center are clean. We are very grateful to have access to so many resources in our city.

It was really a great and fun park. Opportunities to take photos to run around a little lake with our dogs. There was plenty of geese and duck. It was just a fun time.

Parks guys are horrible. Called the police on the homeless struggling the gather their belongings. Didn’t even attempt to talk to the homeless like their real people. They were laughing sitting in their trucks while they watch A guy struggled to pull his wagon up the hill. Tax dollars at “work” shame on them,

For the rec sport leagues, they don’t seem to be able to hire any good refs and the refs they do have don’t protect the players. One player tore my ACL, kneed our goalie in the head, and broke a teammates collar bone with no repercussions. The refs say they didn’t see anything egregious. I’ll never give them my money to play in a league again.

Nobody knows rules or regulations. The second they get money in their hand, you can do whatever you want though. Let’s not mention that no employees know what’s listed on their website either. Hope this entire department gets investigated.
