The City of Arvada runs municipal recreation programs and youth summer camps for the Denver-metro community of Arvada, with registration handled through its online activity catalog.
A pass gets your family onto Arvada Reservoir, where kids can fish from shore or head out in a small fishing boat (electric motors only; boats must pass an on-site inspection). Passes are sold through the city's CivicRec system, and daily passes can be bought the day of your visit.
This is the City's field-permitting service rather than a drop-off program: youth teams and leagues reserve fields for soccer, lacrosse, rugby, baseball, softball and more at six Arvada complexes (Lutz, Stenger, Long Lake, Pioneer, Foster Fields, Youth Memorial), booked through CivicRec.
Not a kids' activity: this is the City's tribute program for placing an engraved memorial bench honoring a loved one in approved spots along Arvada's parks and trails, arranged through Civic Rec.
At Majestic View Nature Center, kids explore hands-on wildlife exhibits, an augmented-reality sandbox, and a beaver lodge activity area, with nearly two miles of wetland and prairie trails outside. Programs run from nature storytime and nature art classes to gardening workshops and kids' nature camps.
Families partner with Arvada's City Forestry Team to plant a tree in a city park — a hands-on way to honor a loved one or celebrate a milestone while adding to the 400+ trees the program has put in Arvada parks. Sign up through the city's CivicRec system.
